I am remodeling my bathroom and my husband and I are gutting it ourselves before the plumbers come and repipe everything. I am trying to take out the tub surround. I have pried one side off with a hammer and small crowbar....do I remove the old backerboard that it was glued too??????

My 70 y.o. mom ripped everything out by herself with a crowbar and a hammer. Messy job and exhausting, but she was quite proud of herself. She saved a few dollars and felt she did it better than the remodelers would have. You know how mothers are.
