We just replaced our old deck with new green treated wood and within two days we have many areas of bird droppings, which will not wash off the wood. I even tried bleach on one spot, which simply discolored the wood and didn't remove the stain. Is there anything we can do to remove these stains? We have a bird feeder hanging under our eaves on the deck, so this will be an ongoing problem. My husband will make me remove the bird feeder if we can't find a solution. Help.

dodobill,
You will probably need to use a deck/sain stripper to remove the bird stains. Most strippers are a sodium hydroxide solution (lye) so follow the directions re eye protection.
If you keep the feeder in the present location the problem will be much worse in the spring when the birds eating habits change to berries. I'd move the feeder if possble.
