My family is moving to a farm house built in 1900. We are definitely not Victorian style people. We appreciate traditional, country, and antiques, so what other decorating genre should I be looking for? All informaion about furniture, color schemes, fixtures, etc. would be great!
Thanks :)

Fill your home with the things you love. There are no hard and fast rules re: what you should or should not do when it comes to decorating. Rules were made to be broken. Some of the most beautiful homes I've been in are those filled with a mix of treasures and pieces collected by the owners. Homes that look like the displays in the furniture stores are boring and uninteresting. Perhaps some decorating magazines and books from the library might get your creative juices flowing and in the right direction for what you envision in your home.
