i am having touble removing the spout. there is no set screw or hex nut, so it's threaded directly to the pipe. I can't get it loose. I've tried putting a hammer handle in the spout as leverage, and can't get it loose. any ideas or tips? i haven't put full force on it out of fear of breaking the pipe. i don't care about the spout as i am putting in a new one once the tile is done. can i just cut it with a dremel tool, being careful not to cut the pipe as well?

thanks
mitch

Use a pipe wrench.
You can feel if the spout is turning loose, or if you are starting to twist the pipe.
Good Luck! Mike
