Hello,I have a armstrong PE03P3 split unit system.I switched the thermostat to heat today and the system still blowed cold air (48 degrees).I switched to emergency heat and still no heat, this air was 65 degrees the same as the house. The thermostat is white rodgers programmable type. This system worked fine this summer for cooling, any help you could give or point in the right direction would be appreciatted!I can wire and replace relays if this helps.

If it is new or has been rewired lately, the wiring could be wrong. The emergency heat is like a toaster (hot wires) that ofsets the cooling and brings it up to 65 deg. F.

See if the air blowing out of the outdoor unit is warmed up. This would confirm that the unit is still cooling.

Try switching back and forth from heat to cool several times, letting it run 3 minutes each time and 3 to 5 minutes rest between runs. If you get lucky the reversing valve (if stuck) may shift to the heating position.
