I own a historical captain's house which is dated l830. We need to keep in mid that it is slightly "uneven in spots". The house has been professionally renovated. I being the contractor--(unprofessional but experienced. This is my 4th house). Recently, I remodeled our kitchen. My son who is a carpenter installed the "yellow wood pine floor" in the kitchen. I had the floor professionally refinished and it is beautiful. In comes the refrigerator which has a water dispenser and it was hooked up incorrectly thus water was pourly out between the subflooring and the new pine floor. Unnoticed until the floor started to warp. It is warped in front of the refrigerator. The kitchen slants a little at that put to the wall. I have used a fan to circulate the air and hopefully dry out the floor. However, it is a polyurethane finish and it may not be drying like I thought it would. Today, I put heavy planks of wood on top of the wood. The fan and the planks help a little. This is three days now that I am dealing with this problem. Am I impatient? Will it go back to the way it was? Please, please tell me what to do. This is a gorgeous kitchen and it costs exceeded what I thought they would be. As you can see it is 4:00 am, and I am writing out my kitchen floor. Thank you, Sandy Riordan
