I am trying to find out how to take the stopper apart so that I can clean the drain out of my bathtub. The stopper is the kind that you pull and turn and then it goes down. Any help would be appreciated.

Look under the stopper for a set-screw.

If your tub is draining slowly, you can also use a toilet plunger to clear the blockage in the tub drain line. You should stuff a wet rag into overflow drains as well as remove the drain switch plate (if you have one) and stuff this hole as well. Doing so will increase the suction in the drain line and clear the blockage more effectively.-Allen
