The ceiling above our bathtub has begun to crack and fall and I need to replace it. It is a dropped ceiling and the exposed ceiling is a sort of plasterboard that has been painted. The moisture has caused it to begin to crack and parts of it are now falling down.
What is the best material for me to replace this ceiling with? I would like some permanent solution that I won't have to be replacing often because of future humidity/moisture. Again, it is the ceiling directly in the tub so it gets a lot of steam, even with the fan running in the bathroom.
Any information you could give me would be extremely appreciated. Thanks.
