I have a porcelined tub that is enclosed by shower tub doors and tile - it is peeling and was refinished previously to me owning the home. I need to refinish the tub but this is my question -

Do i have it done professionally or can I do it myself. If professionally-
1)Does anyone know what is the best products being used? I have heard chemically hardened porcelin is better then polyurethane?
2)Should I take off the shower doors or is it ok to work around it?
3) The longer it takes to dry - the cheaper the product is (is this correct?)
4) Bathtubs really never need to be refinished - just small repair patches should do it so I should peel off the current glaze and leave it be.

Any help would be appreciated!!
