Need to paint our new construction home! Which brand does one choose for ext.? We will be painting over hardiplank siding.... I know the A-100 lines and Superpaint lines are recommended with SW. What lines are recommended with Ben Moore? Who do they compare to each other?

Sad to say, both have cheapened their lines of premium paint and have still managed to charge top dollar for this garbage. At one time I was die-hard Benjamin Moore. No more. It doesn't cover well anymore and they hired a bunch of guys to figure out how to make more money on a cheaper grade paint (inside info. that's slowly getting out there). I now use PORTER paint and love it. It covers better than Devoe, S.W. and Benjamin Moore. Use PORTER!

We have never heard of Porter....Where do you purchase this? The biggest commercial reseller in our area is Kelly-Moore... is there any relationship to Benjamin Moore? We live in Northern Calif. Thanks for the help.
