I have a formal dining room that I want to install armalock laminated flooring. My dining has a 6' opening to another room which I want to install ceramic tile. The wood flooring will have to be cut at a 45deg angle where the two meet. Should I install a transition or butt the flooring and tile to each other?

You will need a transition and molding also figure waste in the 15 to 20% range instead of the usual 5 to 10% range for the angle cuts.
