I would like to paint my garage and need some advice. The garage is drywalled and currently painted white. unfortunately the person before me did not sand down the spackle and the tape covering the seams was not feathered and really sticks out - very sloppy workmanship.

I am currently using a porter cable drywall sander to sand down the spackle and high ridges. Not much I can do about the tape.

what type of primer and paint would you recommend to hide the imperfections in the wall. any other prep tips before I get started painting?
