I have parquet floor in the center of the living room. I need to know if there is any way to refinish the tiles without going to alot of trouble or expense. There is nothing wrong with the tiles, except that they are very scratched and dull looking. Please help. Thanks.

If the parquet floor has a polyurethane finish that is scratched, it will require the trouble and expense of refinishing if you want them to look like new. It is usually not recommended that you wax polyurethane finishes as the wax can interfere with the refinishing process should you decide to refinish in the future. Best regards.

It sounds like you could use a product called The Victorian House Finish Rejuvenator. If you have scratches, white faded areas from sun or water damage on any wood finish this product acturally penetrates into the damaged finish and repairs it to bring back the color and shine like it was when it was new.. If the finish is gone or darkened with age you may need to refinish, but I have had good luck with every finish, from antiques, to kitchen cabinets to front doors. Email me for more information, the product is sold here in the midwest mostly in specialty shops, antique shops and at Home and Garden shows and fairs, it is'nt in Lowes or Walmart though. You can order by mail and they do have a website of sorts with an order form for the Rejuvenator. Your wood floor can be saved with one application. You apply it with #0000 steel wool and wipe the excess that doesn't penetrate into the finish with a paper towel. One application one product and it lasts for a good long time, not just a lemon oil or liquid gold type product its petroleum based, like the finish so it goes right into the finish itself. I like this product a lot.
