Our house has L-P siding (the kind that was recalled), but since we live in a dry climate it doesn't have any real problems (yet). We would like to paint it, and were wondering if there is anything special we need to do? We do have fairly long, snowy winters, and summers are pretty hot. There is only one coat of paint on the siding now, and it's peeling.

Louisiana Pacific made Inner Seal siding that turned out to be defective. It absorbs moisture, warps, splits, grows fungus, etc. There is a class-action law suit filed against Louisiana Pacific because of this. But since ours doesn't have any apparent damage, we aren't going to have it replaced. So I'm wondering if anyone can give me any painting tips to keep it in good condition.
