What type of paint should I use to paint the bricks on a fireplace?

You should not paint the brick on you fire place clean with TSP and work with it.....one you paint you stuck and the mor paint you add the less you will like ti...trust me been there done that,,,had to remove and replace brick to be happy again...Good Luck.....But if you must pain any good pain will work...flat when it gets black you just add more pain, enamel you can clean a few times
