Looking for suggestions on how to remove carpet pad residue from an oak floor. There are places with quite a bit of pad stuck to the floor; otherwise, the pad left a waffle effect throughout the floor.

I have been reading forum posts where a citrus stripper was used. Test any remedy first in an inconspicuous place for ill effects. Read and follow label directions. If the pad left a 'waffle' effect in the floor finish, you will probably need to refinish. Best regards.
