Anybody have any tips for removing a 1/2" particleboard underlayment. I'm getting ready to put in a 3/4" wood floor and I'm planning to replace the particleboard with another 1/2" plywood underlayment over the 1/2" plywood already there. Of course, the particleboard crumbles to pieces while I'm prying it up!

Any help/tips/sympathy would be appreciated.

I once had to remove particle board subfloor in mountain cabin. I used a mattock to pull up the chunks. I am not a fan of particle board subfloor. Good luck.
