hello,
i just had my drain sewer come back up the drain in the floor in the basement. i did not have the cap on tight.it is stripped, and never thought of the crap backing up it. anyway i ran a snake down the main drain next to it. 50ft. it is a small snake. my question is. should i have a plumber come over and do it again with a bigger snake just to make sure. also what is the cost for something like this. i don't want to clean up a mess like that again.
thanks for any responses

If the 50' snake cleared the blockage, and it's draining fine, then there is no need to call someone.
If it is a problem caused by hair-like roots in the drain, it will happen again.
You can call in pros from your locale to give you a quote for roto-rootering, if that's the problem.
Some have video cameras that can inspect inside the drain.
Good Luck!
