A long time ago (before I bought my home), the picture window in my living room was replaced with a brown vinyl-clad bay window. The exterior, even though it faces north, is very badly faded (and being dark brown, the fading is very noticable). Is there a way to clean away the fading, or should I try to paint the window. If the latter, how does one prep it for painting?

eclipse, I doubt you will scrub away fading but do clean the window well. Get a quart of Sherwin-Willaims Duration made to color and apply, no primer needed...Mike
