I'm painting a closet in my bathroom and I'm not sure what kind of paint to use. Because of the threat of moisture (from shower steam, etc.), do I need to use a special paint -- i.e, something different from what I use in other rooms in the house? If this is the case with the closet walls, will I also need a special paint for the closet door/door frame and the wooden shelves I plan to paint/install?
Thanks!

Just get a good quality, washable paint. You may want to consider a satin or egg shell finish for durability on the walls. Semigloss for shelves and trim.
If you are having mildew problems, I suggest a mildewcide such as "M1" to mix into the paint.

Olympic Paints has a special line of paints for this purpose, It's called "Kitchen and Bath" and I've used it many times in jobs. This paint is mildew resistant and is semi-gloss so it can be scrubbed with everything but a brillo-pad! All jokes aside, this paint is specially formulated for the job you mentioned.

I had forgotten about those. But if can find those you can mix up the additive in whatever latex paint/color combo you want.
