I have been steaming wallpaper off the walls of my 100 year old house in order to paint. However, in one of the rooms after removing the wallpaper what I am left with is peeling paint some of which will come off some of it will not.
What do I have to do to get the walls ready to paint? I know how to repair the problem for drywall but not for plaster walls. I do not want to put up drywall as I would have to remove the trim and as old and brittle as it is, I don't want to damage it.
