I have an Allister garage door opener unit that came with the house we purchased. The house is 7 years old. Lately, one of our garage doors will not open using a remote, though I can hear a clicking sound when I am within an ear's shot of the opener device. Pushing the button on the wall works every time. So, I think the unit works, but for some reason the remote is not working completely, though it seems to be sending/receiving a signal since there's a click upon my click, so to speak.
Can anybody help me out here? I've cleaned the wires and made new clean connections and that did not seem to work. Any advice is much appreciated....especially since it's on my wife's side in the garage. (ouch)
Thanks-

I have the exact same problem, except that the button on the wall will only work if I keep it pressed. Also I have the problem closing it rather than opening the garage door. If I'm using the button on the wall and I remove pressure the garage door will stop or will start to go up.
What does doorguy mean by a new operator? A new remote or a new motor?
