Walls and Ceilings - log walls

We had log walls erected over a basement in April. We are doing most of the work ourselves. With my husband working on it week-ends due to occupation demands and my limited construction knowledge the house is progressing slowly. Consequently all of the windows and doors are not in. (With the overhang the rain does not come in.) To make a long story short we have mildew! I have bleached the walls but the stain remains. Is there a way to remove the stain?

Have you tried a pressure washer?
If some mold and mildew stains are allowed to penetrate, they can be almost impossible to remove, but if this is just surface stain not removed by the bleach, you should be able to rent a PW and get the stain off.
Be careful not to damage the wall chocking. Don't PW it directly.

There is a paint called "Kilz" that will cover and nothing will bleed through it again. You can use it as a primer or have it tinted for your final coat. I don't know if it comes in a clear form, if you were wanting to leave the wall natural.
