I have a rough cut cedar frame opening in my house. My friend put a walnut stain on it (the kind that sinks in)and I don't like it. It's too dark, and its been polyurethaned, is there any way to lighten it? I've tried sanding, (very slow going), stripper, nasty and not very effective either. And I've tried straight bleach, what I have now isn't looking to good. Please help !!! Thanks
