on my gas hot water heater I found out the pressure and tempature valve drain line has to be run to the exterior of the room, using 3/4" copper or steel line. Is this a hard job or do I need a pro. I all ready have a opening it just wasn't conected when I replaced the heater three years ago.

Hello 5027 and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliance forum.
Easy job since you already have the PTV installed and an existing exit hole. I suggest you use PVC plastic pipe for this. Unless your local codes require copper or steel piping.
