I want to build a platform style bed for my daughter...a twin bed with approx. 3 ft high platform with drawers for storage. The mattress will sit on top...can someone direct me to plans or give me some ideas on how to start? It seems as though it would be fairly straightforward except for possibly the drawers, which answer a storage problem, so are necessary. Thanks so much!

You may want to search for a "Captain's bed". That seems to fit your description of a platform bed w/drawers.
