HI, I have a '91 Whirlpool gas dryer. The other day while doing work in the laundry room, I fell over on to the open door. Now I can't get the door to close. The bracket holding the door on won't go back into the dryer body. Help my laundry is taking over the house.

Hello Bristlecone and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliance forum.
Not exactly sure I can help with this problem. May be able to offer this suggestion. If the door frame is fine {not bent} and the door not bent, only the brackets, check the local hardware stores for replacement brackets.
If the holding screw holes are enlarged or damaged, level the edges of the frame down and use pop rivets to secure the replacement hindges.
