i have a window airconditioner it will run for about5 minit and start to slow down but it will not stop it will speed up and slow down it still gets cold i have haved washd it but it still slows down and speed up help me

a low voltage problem.It is possible it is on the same circuit as another load carrying device.It could be fan motor and the bearings.Set tstat to coldest position and check unit,if it cools only one room open the door to supply extra heat to unit.Your tstat may be cycling compressor prematurely.This will cause unit to draw extra amps,slowing down fan motor.PDF
