My central air isn't blowing out enough cold air to cool off the house. I had it on the other day all night and it was set at 70 and only got down to 75 in the house. Someone suggested one of the fuses could be blown so I only have half the power and another suggestion was the transformer blew....any suggestion

Are your sure your compressor comes on? Is the cooling system freezing up? Have you checked your ductwork? How long have you noticed the problem?

is blowing then your transformer is okay.Let unit run,go out side, you will find a large pipe(insulated) and a small copper pipe. The large line should feel cool and the small line warm.If the small line feels hot, shut power off to unit outside, take a garden hose and wash the out door coil.PDF

Along with what PDF said, clean/replace your filter on the inside unit.

I had similar problem two weeks ago when it was very hot, that I checked everything was working fine. I even had a guy out checked freon that was fine too. Mine is a Lennox system. Finally, I had a service man from Lennox dealer. He found out that my thermo stat only had one of two wires hooked up, which is the energy save mode (low speed). The wire for the high speed was left out, so the compressor was never switched to 2nd speed to cool the air down faster. This type of compressor is better and not so often seen as the man told me. But it might a possibility.
