We just noticed that some of the paint on our ceiling is peeling near one of our A/C vents. The A/C was put in when the house was built in 1995. Several years ago, we had a problem with condensation dripping from that vent, but we had it checked out and nothing was wrong, and we haven't had any problems since (at least none that we've noticed). Could there be some sort of leak up there causing the paint to peel? My husband checked around the vent - he said it wasn't wet, but he couldn't tell if it was a little damp or just cold. If it is a possible A/C problem, we want to have it checked out as soon as possible. Any input would be appreciated - thanks! :)

I would ask a painter. But of you had water there a few years ago than the paint was most likely damaged than and know if is showing its damage.

ramman,
Thanks for the input. We didn't have a leak there before, just a little water dripping from the vent itself. But I'll check with a painter first - it will probably be cheaper than having the A/C repairman come out! :)
