I have a Rheem central air conditioner Rgtac045cd. When I turn on the A/C it blows cool air. In the morning after I leave it off all night, it runs for about an hour and then shuts off for about an hour. It then comes on for about 20 minutes and then off for the rest of the hour and this continues all day. When it shuts off, even if I set fan to on instead of auto, the fan doesn't even come on. I have replaced the filter faithfully, and it helped but it still keeps shutting off. Unfortunately the outside unit is on the roof of my condo complex and I can't get to it to see if anything is iced over. Help please!!!

My gut instinct says check the blower motor relay, followed by the motor (and it's associated capacitor), followed by the low voltage control circuits.

This could easily be nothing more than loose wire nut or quick connector. The worse case is a blower motor that is failing (gets hot, and won't run until it cools off).

This one will likely take a bit of diagnostic detective work.

I wound also check the T-stat. this could be the trouble.
