I'm planning to parge the outside of my chimney. I've gotton several different opinions on the mixture I should use to do it. One was Portland High Grade Cement with Sand (2 sand to 1 cement). The other was simply Mortar mix and Lime with no exact measurements. I also plan on putting a pigment in the mixture to match our vinyl siding color. Can anyone give me some advice on the best mixture I should use?
