I have a cbs house. I'm trying to find out how to do stucco banding around my front windows and door. I need to know how to start it. Basically how to do it.

If by banding you mean the modern day rendition it's a foam product. It can be cut with a saw. No, I don't know the name. If you mean sculpted work expanded metal lath is used for backup. A scratch coat is applied. The sculpting technique is borrowed from the Plasters trade. Sheet metal is cut to profile. It's used either free hand or mounted in a wooden drag box. Apply, drag. Apply more, drag. Thats the basic rundown. Final patching is by dry sacking. For more on Portland Cement Plaster try the PCA site
