How do you install an ice maker water source line from the plumbing to the icebox? Are filters required or do the newer ice boxes come equipped with a in the unit filtering system/capability? The well I am on has been unfiltered for 25 years, however, the water is very hard water with mineral deposits in it. Will hard water affect/harm the ice maker/ice box if hooked up.
