I have a shiny brass chandelier that I would like to look more of an antique brass. Is there a spray paint out there that would give me that effect?

Thanks!

Not a spray paint. There are acids that are used to take the shiny finish off so that the brass can create its own patina. There are shops that can do this for you or you can go to a home center and ask for information. I do not know exactly what is used, but I did see it done on Martha Stewart. You could check on her web site for more information, shes at http://www.marthastewart.com. Good luck!

I know that in the UK you can get all types of paint spray giving all kinds of different finishes. Try looking at http://www.diy.co.uk for a full range.

It's much easier (and safer) than using acids! ;-)
