I am building a brick patio and to reduce the elevation of the lower part of the patio above grade I have used a 1/4" per foot slope. Does anyone perceive problems or asetic issues with this drastic of a slope.

I don't see a problem with the slope you are using. An 1/8" per foot is more "normal" for a patio, but I have put covers over some with as much as 3/8" per foot. THAT'S getting pretty extreme!

Thanks for the feedback. I have been having problems getting any from this forum as of late.

I was doing a sanity check because I had a couple of Landscape "Professionals" indicate that a 1" to 10' slope
is more the norm and that I may have problems with liquids in glasses looking funny. I did a couple of checks on this over the weekend after getting my base nice and smooth and it looked pretty decent.

An inch in 8' or 10' is the most common, but sometimes more is put in where heavy rains can be a problem.
