OK I bought a raised ranch and we desided to have new windows put it Yes i am more than willing to pay some one for that chore but what are the good ones out there i know anderson is the best but i was told that is for new construction only so i see Pella out there also I will be calling around to check prices soon so any help would be great.. PS i would like them to do doors also

Anderson, Pella, Sierra Pacific, ... These are high-end windows and will have a high-end price. They all 3 have web sites you can visit. Pretty sure you will find that all 3 come as either new construction or as retrofits.

Brands like Amerimax, Milgard -- these are a couple that are also quality windows, but, not being wood-framed or clad, will cost somewhat less.

Shop warranties, as well as price. If they are available where you live, Amerimax will be hard to beat. Their warranty is pretty simple. As long as you own the house you put them in, they are covered, plus it is transferable one time to the next owner. This covers not only the window frame, but the seal of the glass as well.
