Recently we replaced the belt on our Frigidaire dryer and when my father flipped the top most of the wires came off behind the panel. We are illiterate when it comes to reading the electrical diagram and wondered if anyone would be able to help. It's a gas Frigidaire dryer; model
DGIL-W-2 and it has a heat selector knob, start button, and fabric selector knob. The colors of the wires are blue, green, tan, white, pink, red, orange, gray, and black. Thanks for any info you may have.

Hello JMavis and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliance forum.

WOW! That's a tall order to attempt to answer in a text only format like this one. Difficult, if not impossible to answer. But here's a tip and a try.

The wires are color coded. If you have the wiring diagram, notice that it should also show the colors of each wire. Place the color coded wire on the pin as you see it in the diagram.

The wires are harnesses and reach to the connection point but not much further. Locate the harness, which contains the color coded wires to the pins on the connection part, count the wires and pins, match them up per the diagram then attach.

If you know of someone like a friend, neighbor, family or relative that can help, ask them to assist too.

Regards & Good Luck
