I am building a half moon shape stairs over a cement slab in
my back yard for a patio project. The steps will be accessed from a door that is in the corner or a bay. This shape which is a straight wall, then the door at a 45 degree
angle back 4' to my sunken family room wall is causing me grief on building the steps. If I build the steps from bay wall to FR wall, I will either have to leave a gap between the aluminum siding and the steps or somehow build up against it. If I leave a gap, I will need to bring a straight wall out from the cement stop to meet the radius wall. If not I could bring the radius all the way wall to wall.
I am looking for thoughts on which way to go. If it is to build wall to wall, how do I but the steps against the siding. I want to protect against moisture getting into the wall.
