Gardening and Horticulture - Growing Potatoes

Is it too late to plant potatoes?

Hi mlminin,

I wish somebody would answer these veggie questions. :) It's been several years since I've had the time for a garden. I plan on having one this year, but it hasn't dried out enough to till yet.

I would still try it if I could get them in now. Even if they don't have enough time to get real big, you can eat the small ones. I used to plant some just for new potatoes.

Thank you for the encouragement and the sites. I passed them on to my cooking daughter, who asked me about growing the potatoes this year because she loves them so. It's definetly worth a try! Although we don't have a veg. garden this year, except for tomatoes, yesterday she found and dug up a few that came up from a planting two years ago.
