Hello: Ronald
During that period of time and prior, solar energy was being explored at a rapid rate. The federal government was offering huge grants to qualfied individuals and small companies to develope the technology. In my opinion, the government, during the early 80's, made a HUGE error shutting off the funding.
Arco was one of the companies getting grants {short term loans} that got cutoff. That specific company {Sunburst Solar} may have been closed down, {defunct} or sold off to another company.
If the transformer is the only part needed, try a non oem part. Retail electric supply dealers often have replacement parts for oem transformers. The idea here is to be resourceful and not seek only OEM parts.
Sidebar thought:
Take a moment and think about how much further along solar energy technology would be <and less dependent upon fossil fuels we would be} if we had used foresight back then.....<??????>
