I have just finished installing ceramic tile. I have noticed that after the drying of the grout there is like a sandy testure coming out all the time. This happens even when you just rub on it, so it is all over the floor. Why is this happening, how dom I fix it?? Also can you tell me the correct way to clean the tiles after installing.
Thanks,

Hi
Could you describe your installation for us..what glue and grout did you use? What was on the floor before the tile?(sub floor)..this may help find the problem.

Well . . . usually, when sanded grout comes out "sandy," it's because too much water was used during the application and cleanup. Excess water actually washes the cement out of the grout, and cement is what holds things together.
If you've waited three days or longer, and the stuff still rubs out, you'll have to remove it all and start over. I know this isn't what you want to hear. Sorry.

This sandy stuff started after the first day, is it possible for it to not be compeletly dry?

No. Unless the temperature is very cold (below 40), the grout will harden overnight. It will take another day or two to reach is final "dried" color.
I'm sorry.
