Hi. I have a weed in the side of my yard in a flower garden that I can not seem to get rid of. It has prickley edges on the leaves and some prickles on the stem and grows quite tall. I have tried several times pulling them out and treating with weed killer but they seem to have the upper hand. They multiple like crazy and I can't find anything that will rid me of this problem. Each year they are growing back with more intensity. Any suggestions.

Without seeing it, I'd guess it's thistle.
On a calm mild day, apply RoundUp or Finale to a few of the leaves with a moistened cloth or sponge. Better yet, apply it to the cut stem.
Any you get on desirable plants will kill them also.
