What causes cinder blocks to disintergrate? I have a cinder block wall at the side of my steps that appear to be disintergrating. At one time they had been resurfaced with 3/8" mortar. Is there another technique I may not be aware of that will last longer or is there a way to repair this without replacing the cinder block? Thank you.
