I would like to paint my wood paneling beige, but don't know how to go about doing it. Please help.

I can tell you what I did and it worked fine. I first cleaned the paneling with TSP. It cleaned the paneling and made it ready for painting. I then used a stain blocking solvent based primer, let it dry overnight and then put on two coats of latex finish coat.
