I've changed the color of my living room and now I need to change the color of my lampshades so they match - however, I cannot find the right shade of color. Can I paint the lampshade with oil-based paint so it matches the rest of the room - or whould I do something else???

You can have the shades recovered with a new materal or find out how to do it yourself. Very custom looking at a fairly low price. I haven't ever done this before but have seen it done. You can find instructions in some sewing books. You might even find instructions on how to do it on marthastewart.com.
