I have a small crack in the plaster ceiling. How do I repair it?
The former owners of the house evidently had a leak at one time. There is no evidence of a leak now. I believe the ceiling was not properly repaired. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Cut a strip of black plastic screen "wire" about 6" wide and mud it in over the crack just like you would sheetrock tape.
A pro painter (40+ years experience)friend of mine uses this trick to permanently repair plaster in old houses.
