My mother in law gave me her china cabinet. It was her grandmother's and was never taken care of properly by my mother in law. The wood is all dried out. I want to make the china cabinet look somewhat new. I figured that the cabinet was about 60 years old and has wood pattern on the glass. Not sure about how to take care of that part with out damaging the wood on the glass. It's a very small cabinet and I intend on using it as a curio instead.
Any help would be great about to get the cabinet in better condition

It's entirely possible the piece can be brought back to an esthetically pleasing state by simply cleaning it thoroughly and apply a fresh coat of finish, which is probably lacquer. Take a look at my posting on "Dining Table Top" in this forum for further instructions.
