I have a brick fireplace & hearth, that is covered with marble square tiles. It is really ugly.
I wanted to re-face it with Travertine, but I'm finding to much color contrast in the slabs. I am going for a dark gold/yellow color. I don't want to use travertine tiles because I don't want the grout lines.
Would it make sense to stucco it?
Can I stucco over the marble? Or do I have to remove the marble? Can I get a custom color of stucco? Is the color in the stucco or do I paint it afterwards?
Thanks for you help.
