I have Symphonic SV209S tv that blew a fuse, which I replaced. But now it will not power up, there is a standby light that stays on and the TV will not power up. Is there a reset switch or something that needs to be done.
Thanks for any input.

Good Afternoon, lscott:
First, let us address the issue of the blown fuse. Obviously, something created an overload to the power supply of that set to cause the fuse to blow.
Replacing the fuse didn't solve the problem so the overload is still with us. I would assume that a burn out has occurred and the power supply is now non-functional.
The only way you are going to get an answer to this question is to open the set and do some diagnostic troubleshooting. Only a one-on-one will answer your question. Whatever circuit that has failed has caused the permenant shut down. Be grateful it did. You have no idea how many home fires are caused by television sets.

Symphonic, not to be crass but you went to Wally World, saved a buck right? Let's be honest, cheapest set on the shelf? Throw it away and buy a new one of the same value, HDTV is right around the corner. New format that your NTSC set will not receive. Don't be embarrassed about buying cheap, today's economy? Buy a new TV, the Symphonic is not worth repair...
